Lately......

Things have been good. Cross country is now over, i finished the year decent, i ran in the 17's for my last 2 races. Im honestly a little sad its over. I mean its hard to beleave how fast life goes by. It feels like yesterday when i was a freshman running, and now i've ran my last high school race ever. wow. On a lighter note, i finally rode a solid three hours on sunday. It felt good to ride despite my poor condition. I think im gonna start slowley riding again. Its almost church leauge basketball season again, in preperation for it ive been ballin at the local courts lately. well thats all i feel like rambling on about for now,
until next time,

I have signed up for the 2009 edition of FORD IRONMAN FLORIDA. I figure it will be a good way to occupy myself in the off season of bike racing.

Update on the off-season

Im back from Hawaii and im to lazy to post pictures! Other then that serious training has begun. "Training for what??" your probably thinking.......I can tell you its not cycling!!! I havnt been on my bike in 2 weeks and i see no start in sight! but anyways what im training for! HOOTERS! Yea its that time again. Every Wednesday me and my buddies make the pilgrimage up to Hooters where we pour our heart and soul into eating as many wings as possible! The season began last week, and im very out of shape. Despite my poor condition i was still able to eat more then anyone at the table. Its gonna be a long hard road if i wanna break my record from last year (62) but i feel that if i work hard enough i will surpass it.
Wish me luck!

p.s. I hate running!!!!!! is it possible to enjoy racing 5ks?

The last race.......

So the last race of the year was today. I def. feel like i ended it on a good note. It was the Saul Raisin Crit, in my home town Dalton, so that was def. motavating. Me and teammate Steve Carpenter got in a early move of 8 guys that included John Murphy from Health Net. Me and Carp attacked the move alot but John kept everything in check. We lapped the field then teammate Dave Talbott kept everything under control. The last lap was hectic and i tried to mark John but ended up getting gapped in the last coner, but still held a strong sprint to get 2nd in the race. It was a good result, and i ended the year with mixed emotions. In one way i feel like training alot after that good result, but all in all i'm looking forward to taking a long break. Its been one hell of a year. The season started in Feb. and ended in Oct.!
Off to Hawiaii for a much needed vacation!
